About
John Jennissen biography
director resumeJohn started directing independent short films and music videos several years ago. Desiring a more complete understanding of the filmmaking process (and needing a job) John began working as a professional crewmember in the Canadian film industry. He is credited on dozens of feature films and movies of the week (MOWs) as well as numerous television series and pilots.
Understanding that every department is vital to a production, John endeavored to experience first hand the responsibilities of each and ultimately what they bring to a film. He worked his way up from an Assistant Location Manager and Location Manager, roles dedicated to securing and maintaining the integrity of film locations to 1st Assistant Director and finally Second Unit Director.
Wanting to focus more on the visual look of his own work John then began to look for crew positions in the Special Effects and Art Departments. He put this experience to use in his short films incorporating everything from extensive wardrobe, propane fires, fog machines and even an elaborate fake snow set.
Bringing this immense hands-on experience, skill and professionalism to all projects, John is able to knowledgeably respond to the reality of a situation. Most importantly John is a Director who is able to actualize his vision through collaboration and by valuing his cast and crew.
Shannon Jennissen biography
producer resume
Shannon has had formal training in film production and has worked both in the commercial film industry and as an independent producer and editor.
Her aptitude for organization and administration led to a Canadian Film and Television Production Association (CFTPA) internship at a prominent Canadian production company. She stayed on as a Producers Assistant and became well versed in the paperwork and procedures that moved projects from development through to distribution.
Her Tax Credit Application Kit, comprised of original spreadsheet templates and helpful suggestions, was purchased by an industry training organization for use in their courses. Shannon then moved to a position at Manitoba Film and Sound, a government agency devoted to the promotion and support of the Manitoba Film Industry.
Eager to develop creatively Shannon left to pursue her own projects. Reacquainting herself with the intensity and fun of independent film-making, she returned to set as a 1st Assistant Director, Accountant and finally Producer.
Shannon has delved into every aspect of film production from no-budget independent to multi-million dollar commercial, firmly believing experience to be the best teacher. She has both music videos and short films to her credit and is currently developing two feature films with UK writers.

Seeing Pictures
We do it all!
As a Producer-Director team we will take your project through from conception to completion, broadcast quality and ready for distribution. We boast our own digital in-house editing system, access to equipment packages, freelance and industry professionals as well as the ability to take you confidently through the four phases of your project.
Development
The first stage in any project is to work out a basic story and conceptual design with you. We will also determine a realistic budget for your project that you are comfortable with. Seeing Pictures will then draft a script and an accompanying budget for your approval. If any final adjustments are required they will be made at this point before we move ahead into pre-production.
Pre-production
Seeing Pictures will source out locations, additional crew and equipment for the project and set up dates for the shoot. This step is unique to each project and can grow in complexity according to budget. Another meeting will be required before production to ensure that we are as prepared as possible for the upcoming shoot.
Production
Depending on your needs we are able to shoot in standard or high definition, both broadcast quality. A shooting schedule and shot list will be made available on the day so everyone is on the same page and able to work efficiently.Post-production
The footage from the shoot will be edited into a rough cut for you to look at. After getting your feedback we will make the adjustments and create a final cut for your project and arrange for packaging and duplication. The end result is a broadcast quality DVD with high production value ready for television and Internet distribution.
